Sound Solutions for combating seasonal changes

With the changes of the seasons, from long warm summer days, to the prospects of less day light and cooler breezes upon the wind that autumn brings are for many, challenging times. Both of readjusting to changes atmospherically and to the changes in our daily routines.

Solutions to help our body re-adjust

The whole universe is in a state of vibration. Every organism object and every organ, every bone and every cell in the human body is made up of vibrating particles called atoms that vibrate at their own vibrating rate, a unique resonant frequency. When one organ in the body is out of tune (imbalance of frequency), it will affect the whole body.

History of Sound Healing

Sound healing is probably the oldest form of healing known to man. Therapeutic sound for healing was used in the ancient civilisations of China, Egypt, Greece and India. Most indigenous people still use sound for healing today.

In the Bible, we are told that David played his harp to lift King Saul’s depression. Handel wrote his “Water Music” to help King George’s problems of memory loss and depression.

What is Sound Healing

Sound healing is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body/mind of a person with the intention of bringing them into a state of harmony and health. The subtle energy centres (chakras) and even the auric field of a person benefit from vocal and musical sounds, helping to relieve blockages to realign and restore the natural flow of normal healthy frequency within and around the body.

What does it involve?

  • Vocal Expression – Toning, singing, chanting, laughing.
  • Using Instruments – Tibetan bowls, Sounding bowls, Crystal, bowls, Drums, Gongs, Tuning Forks and other musical instruments.
  • Sound Healing Therapy – Where a person receives a sound healing treatment from a sound healer.
  • Self Healing – Using sound healing exercises for self help.
  • Music – The use of music to relax, to reduce pain or assist before surgery.

Scientific Research

Modern medicine now uses sound waves to break up kidney and gallstones in the body. The machine used is called a lithotripter. Hospitals are now using harpists to calm patients on the operating table after research found that the instrument eased pain. The sound and vibrations have also been shown to lower heart rate, decrease blood pressure and combat heart disease. The Royal Brampton Hospital in London and Cardiff’s Velindre Cancer Centre employ harpists to assist with patient care.

Healing music is widely used in the United States Hospitals and the use of Sound Healing CDs in Germany and Eastern Europe Hospitals, report a reduction in headaches, better sleep patterns, improved memory and concentration in their patients.

A Sound Healing Treatment

A person will lie on a couch while having a sound healing treatment, and a session generally will last for an hour, with the treatment cost between £ 25-£35. Most people feel deeply relaxed after receiving sound healing. Overall, the treatment helps to improve their own natural flow of resonance to support their well-being.
